 X Games 11
Summer X was incredible this year and greener than ever. It
was our 3rd year in the Athlete's Lounge where we blended up bowls and
passed out our Organic Smoothies to the athletes and ESPN team. Hope
you got to see some of the highlights on ESPN. Thanks to Frank
Scura and his organization ASEC (Action Sports Environmental Coalition
www.usasec.org ) all the ramps were built using certified wood,
recycling bins were set up all over the event grounds and kids we
educated about protecting the planet from their action spots heros via
autograph signings, puppet shows and trading cards.
Big Congrats to Team Sambazon Ambassador Bob Burnquist for another gold
medal to add to his collection. Pictures above include the
Samba-Zone in the athlete's lounge with Kellie, Raphael and Brett, Bob
Burnquist at the top of the podium, Frank Scura teaching the children
well at the ASEC booth and skateboarding legend and ESPN commentator
Christian Hosoi with a little purple Acai smile in between camera spots
during the vert final.

Danny Way, pro skateboarder
Danny has been pretty busy lately
winning X-Games gold in Megaramp for the second year in a row and
hopefully you didn't miss him launching over the Great Wall of China
last month. He's been a Sambazon fan for quite some time and we
even sent him to China with some of our new RTB Concentrates.
Here's Danny's daily Acai recipe:
2 packets of Pure Acai
3/4 cup of frozen blueberries
3/4 cup of blueberry juice
2 tbsp Goat Yogurt

Fe is from the south
of Brasil, Porto Allegre, and has been working with us here at Sambazon
for over 2 years now. If
you've ever called the office or ordered something from us, you've
probably interacted with her, she helps keep everything on track
here at Sambazon HQ and always does it with a smile. Fe studies
capoeira and is an all-around amazing dancer, and she loves her
bowls of açai and gourds of Guayaki yerba mate.
