X-Games Preview
This weekend is Summer X games 13 where Sambazon will be catering the Athletes lounge for the
6th Straight Year - and two members of Team Sambazon are competing for medals. Nyjah Houston will be competing in Street Skating. Even at his
young age of 11 Nyjah is a huge role model in the skate world and it is always a joy to see him spreading positive vibes.
And veteran Bob Burnquist who has made podium visits a frequent part of
his
Xgames routine will be competing in both the Vert and Mega Ramp skate contests. Bob's training ritual is focused at home where he can drink
Sambazon and practice in his backyard skatepark where he has the largest skateboard ramp in the world (larger than a football field and over 8
stories high). Bob is one of the world's most technical and innovative skaters and we can't wait to see what's in store for this year's games. Check
Bob downing some Sambazon juice on NBC last week!!

Ahhh! Acai Ice Cream
1 Sambazon Acai smoothie pack
½ cup strawberries
½ - ¾ cup sugar OR ½ cup Amber Agave Nectar sweetener
2 cups vanilla soy milk
½ avocado OR ¼ cup organic half and half (for added creaminess)
½ tsp. vanilla
1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2. Freeze according to ice cream manufacturer's instructions.
3. ENJOY!!

Employee Profile: Matt Lau
National Food Service Manager Matt Lau is a force of positive Amazon energy!
Standing a full 6'4", Matt brings unmatched enthusiasm, passion, dedication, work ethic and a
whole lot of industry know-how in all that he does. Matt manages all our food service business across the North America. Some of our biggest
accounts include Jamba Juice, Wild Oats, Smoothie King, Juice It Up!, Tullys and Planet Smoothie, Yahoo and Google corporate offices, along with
hundreds of independents across the country.
Before coming back to us last year in this new role, Matt worked with us in the early years,
turning the Pacific Northwest onto Sambazon! He has a ton of natural products industry experience - he was part of the founding start-up
team for both Tazo Tea and also Kombucha Wonder Drink. Matt lives in beautiful Portland, Oregan with his lovely wife Mary Ann, pet chickens and dogs.
Matt tells us in his down time he enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding, kayaking and hiking,
Matt says what he loves best about Sambazon is, "Traveling the country meeting great people
from all walks of life that want to help support our mission and bringing the highest quality, best tasting, most authentic Acai to the
