Athlete Profile: Otto Flores
Otto Flores has been holding it down as one of the most prominent names in surfing to come out of Puerto Rican waters. A recent "business trip"
brought us down to PR and we got to see first hand just how well Otto rips. Best known for his knack to find the perfect wave on the perfect day Mr.
Flores can be seen ducking in... and out of clean glassy barrels in surf magazines world wide.
We got him here getting his pre-barrel riding

Create Positive Change: Life Rolls On
Foundation
Life Rolls On is an incredible organization that truly embodies positive change. On the verge of becoming a
professional surfer, founder
Jesse Billbauer suffered a spinal cord injury, but transformed his injury for good through the creation of Life Rolls On - a grassroots resource that
provides hope and advocacy on behalf of young people whose lives have been affected by spinal cord injury. Jesse and other LRO ambassadors help
motivate others to live life to the fullest and make the world aware that life with a spinal cord injury can still be amazing.
Jesse was
introduced to acai about a year ago by Sambazon ambassador Rob Machado, and extreme sports wheelchair athlete Darwin Holmes (profiled in our Feb 2006 Zona Sul) was

First Ever Eco-Holiday Showcase in NYC

OpenHouse (201 Mulberry Street). Co-curated by Good
Magazine and The Pure Project,

Employee Profile: Eric Bowler
Eric began working with us back in 2005 after he traveled to Brasil, fell in love with acai and then found us! Most recently, he's been our
Regional Sales Manager in San Diego and surrounding regions - turning it into one of our top markets in the country. As Regional Sales Manager,
Eric works with our local accounts, brokers and distributors to ensure that our products are ordered, stocked and looking great at the store
level. It is his attention to detail and follow through that makes him a true professional. Eric has done such a fantastic job that he's
now moving across the country to manage the "Tri-State Area" - New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in '08.
Prior to coming to Sambazon, Eric worked in sales as well as worked as a freelance writer and
had a brief stint as a teacher. A self-described music geek, Eric has started playing guitar again and plans on starting a band once he
gets settled in NYC. He also enjoys comedy writing and stand-up and has a witty sense of humor. Eric tells us that what he loves most is
"the acai of course" as well as our company culture and mission - "doing some good for the world". We know Eric will be a fantastic
new addition to our East Coast Team but we'll sure miss him here in SoCal!
