Earlier this month, Dr. Mehmet Oz went on The Oprah Winfrey Show and added Açaí to

Events & Happs
We've had lots of
special events and happenings this past month starting with travels to Park City, Utah where Sundance festival goers enjoyed Sambazon juices,
smoothies and sorbet - coming back every day for more! (One day we'll go and get to see the films!!) We then made our way to the 12th Winter X
Games in Aspen, Colorado, where the queens of the mountain and big Sambazon supporters, Torah Bright, Lindsay Adams Hawkins, and Gretchen Bleiler,
among many other riders, dropped in the Athletes' Lounge for their daily dose of Açaí. Our last event took us to NYC, where we joined
Deutsche Bank Group DWS Scudder in transforming lower Manhattan into the Amazon Rainforest to vividly demonstrate the potential impacts of global
warming to raise awareness of DWS' new climate-change investment
fund. You can check out some of the photos by clicking here and read more about this event
on Sambazon's new blog!

In the News
Big month! In addition to being named to Dr. Oz's ultimate anti-aging
list on
the Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this month, nutritionist Keri Glassman included Açaí as part of her proactive heart-healthy diet on the CBS
Early Show last week, saying exotic fruits have benefits "so much better" than orange juice. Watch the story here.
And The Wall Street Journal featured our good friend Tony Gonzales - All-Star
NFL Player with the Kansas City Chiefs - for his training regime of a primarily plant based diet. Make sure to check out the story and video
where Tony shows us his smoothie recipe for the athlete elite!
Thanks everyone for your support!

Part of the joy of working in our industry comes from the insights and wisdom
that the leaders in the natural foods and organic food movement pass down to us, and our dialogue about nutrition and the creation of earth-friendly
solutions with our peers. Even with our 24/7 global access to info, there's still no substitute for a well thought out
book that educates, challenges, raises our consciousness and ultimately sparks our imagination. Keep exercising your brain! Some classics and new
ones to check out here:
Diet for a Small Planet" by Frances Moore Lappe
"In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto" by Michael Pollan
