Based on strong consumer demand- we launched our "Pure Açaí" back in
2004. Pure Açaí is 100 grams of frozen pure unsweetened Organic Açaí pulp and contains no sugar or other sweeteners.
Similar to cacao, Açaí has no sugar, so with just a touch of sweetening you can bring out açai's amazing flavor. You can sweeten
the packs to taste by blending with organic honey, sugar, natural sugar substitute or blending with something like yogurt, soymilk, flavored hemp milk or fruit juice. We know a few

Events: Sambazon at Expo West
We just got back from Natural Products Expo West, the 3rd largest trade show in the country and always a great environment to be inspired by the innovation and fresh
ideas coming out of our dynamic industry. Here's our team with our new product, Amazon Energy, which we'll tell you more about next
month! (We're limiting Dave to 1 can a day!).
Over the next month, we have the Pan-Ams, the largest Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in the country where our
Açaí bowls are in heavy demand for hard core Sambazon heads! In the west, we'll be bringing the purple berry to Veg Fest in Seattle and Denver, and the first ever Greenfest
in Seattle. In New York, look for us at Pangea Organic's Earth Day
event in early April. Lots more coming up later next month so keep checking our blog, Facebook and MySpace communities for updated event info.

Team Sambazon: Chef Akasha Richmond
Chef Akasha has
been known in both Organic Circles and the Hollywood crowd for many
years. A
self-trained chef and artisan baker, Akasha has for gift for creativity
and taste when it comes to handcrafted food. And she's a big fan of
Sambazon
Açaí. Her new green and urban-chic Culver City restaurant features "The
Free Radical", a cocktail made with Sambazon Açaí,
handmade Açaí sorbet and an incredible pork chop in a Açaí-honey
reduction sauce - it's one of our favorite dishes. Beyond the
exquisite cuisine, Akasha also walks the walk where sustainability is
concerned. The Akasha restaurant, bar and bakery boasts green building
materials, Organic produce, Fair Trade coffee, and
biodegradable/compostable TO GO containers... not that you'd ever want

Jeffrey Sachs, author of "The End of Poverty" and director of the Earth Institute challenges us to rethink national interests and chose global
solutions as part of TIME magazine's cover story on 10 ideas that are changing the world. Sachs writes, "Sustainable development will not break
the bank. The key is to make the right choices in our public investments and to find ways to harness, and channel, market forces. Great
social transformations - the end of slavery, the womens' and civil rights movements, the end of colonial rule, the birth of environmentalism -

Employee Profile: Scott Koch
Scott Koch, Orange County local born and raised, joined us last year as VP of Operations and
since then he has rocked the ops department with his positive and energetic attitude. Scott comes with a trail of experience - he's worked as a
production supervisor and plant manager in top name companies like Jerseymaid, Ralphs, and Baskin-Robbins. And since he's been here, he's done a
stellar job overseeing the creation of our newest product, Amazon Energy - which is, without coincidence, his favorite Sambazon product.
At home, he's a loving husband and father of two accomplished young women and as a family, the Kochs love snowboarding, beaching-it, laying out by
the pool, cooking, shopping, vacationing, working-out at the gym, and being actively involved at church. On the side, he's also a serious runner.
With 15 marathons under his belt he plans to run the NY marathon this fall to celebrate his 50th birthday.
Scott says, Sambazon has "a young, energetic, health-oriented, and a fun company environment!!....what more could a runner ask for??"
