All Sambazon Plastics are Safe, BPA Free and

Recently, the Today Show ran a segment that discussed how certain types of plastics might not
be safe to consume food and beverages from (no new news to those of us in the Natural Products Industry). However the expert interviewed on the
segment misspoke when he said all #7 plastics contain the harmful compound called bisphenol A or BPA for short. We're happy to
say Sambazon's 10.5oz juice and smoothie bottles are marked #7/#2 compatible and do not contain bisphenol A (BPA). In fact all our products are
BPA free and fully recycle-able.

Events: Earth Day
Earth Day means a variety of different things for different people. Here at Sambazon, we're
doing our part to help Earth Day be one of the biggest celebrations of the year - from visiting our friend Bob Burnquist for his Earth Day shindig
(where, yes, we did get to see him launch off of his mega ramp) to participating in SDSU's festival, the Go Green Expo in NY, the ALIVE! Expo in
Atlanta, and Lexus' Hybrid Living initiative.
So we hope you got out there for Earth Day, or stayed in, and did something good for the
planet and we encourage each of you to make positive change this year by doing something simple like committing to recycle, or riding your bike on
the
weekends, or maybe planting some seeds in the backyard - because we all need a healthy planet.

Athlete: Holly McPeak
Three time Beach Volleyball Olympian Holly McPeak has won 72 career titles, and she's about
to enter her last AVP season. She's one of the strongest women out there, and one of the toughest competitors. Having been part of the Sambazon team
for over five years, this is what she has to say:

Recipe: Acai Yogurt Fruit Bowl
(makes 1 serving)
Make the Acai Yogurt and set aside:
½ - 1 cup of non-fat plain yogurt
1 heaping scoop of Sambazon Power Scoop powder
1 or 2 dashes of raw sugar (a little more if the fruit is not sweet)
Place into a large eating bowl in this order (apples on the bottom):
1 Fuji apple, cut into bite-size pieces (well, actually, I use 3/4 of an apple because my dog wants some too, so he gets 1/4 of the apple with
some of the yogurt each day at lunch...)
1 handful washed raspberries
6-8 strawberries, washed and quartered
Top with all the Acai Yogurt and ENJOY.
Be prepared for a really healthy-feeling all day. I swim at lunchtime and then I used to bonk every afternoon (which wreaks havoc with work!)
but now I have this wonderful Acai yogurt-fruit bowl after swimming and my afternoons are better than ever: mental clarity and physical stamina are
just naturally there.

Employee Profile: Tim Pisarski
Tim Pisarsky is our VP of sales - he leads and coaches all of the Sambazon sales teams and as
we're launching into new stores and markets everyday, we all know he's doing quite an amazing job. He's worked for a host of impressive large
brands but says he enjoys "The energy of a fast growing young company, and the Sambazon "Family" spirit and culture" - and he now eats Açaí
everyday! Tim's really got the energy to really rock it - he's always up for anything from traveling the country to hanging out at local reggae shows
we sponsor.
Outside of the office, Tim's a big sports fan (Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Ducks and Michigan State - his alma mater) and loves spending time with his
19 year old daughter. They actually just got back from a visit to Estes Park in Colorado, their favorite spot.
