News: Thanksgiving Tips
For Thanksgiving this year, surprise your guests with a new take on some holiday classics! Lets get to experimenting... The first thing we noticed
about açaí is how versatile of a fruit it really is. There's of course a million variations of the açaí bowl and smoothie, but
we've seen chefs make açaí reductions to pour over grilled meat and fish, mixologists shake up the most exotic and beautiful cocktails, and
dessert aficionados craft delectable tarts and truffles.
We've got a few festive recipes like Açaí Nog, Açaí Bars and Ani
Phyo's Açaí Cranberry Sauce to start off the holiday season with
an antioxidant boost! Check out the Sambazon blog for these
recipes. We hope to inspire all of you to start using açaí in unique, delicious, and healthy ways!

Event: Green Fest DC+SF!
Fall Green Festivals are our favorite consumer shows of the year. Not only are the organizers of the event totally in line with our sustainable and
environmentally respectful attitude (they even require all exhibitors to have fully recyclable or biodegradable serving ware), but all of the
companies we love are set up right next to us in what we call the "Power Foods Pavilion", including Amazing Grass, Big Tree Farms, Guayaki, and
Manitoba Harvest!
Last weekend, marked our 6th annual Green Fest in Washington DC, and like usual, we set up a stellar table overflowing with açaí bowls,
juices and energy drinks for an antioxidant hungry crowd. This weekend we'll be setting up shop at San Francisco Green Fest to do the same for all
you
West Coasters. If you're in the area, make sure to come say hi!

Team: Andrew Ference
Andrew Ference is a phenomenal hockey defenceman with the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. This year, he's led not only his team but all
NHL defensemen in pre-season scoring. And, as it turns out, he fuels up with Sambazon açaí every day!
"My wife and I first had Açaí in Ubatuba, Brazil, a great town for surfing and relaxing in between Rio and Sao Paulo," Andrew told us. "We
ate it as a snack before realizing just how healthy it was. It was a little tough to find back in Canada (6 years ago) at first but we finally found
a
local organic grocer who would bring it in. Now, Sambazon is a staple of our grocery trip as I have a bowl a day."

 Employee of the Month: Aleah Chamberlain
Aleah Chamberlain is our incredible Sales Analyst, which means she's responsible for our Accounts Receivable, making sure the dollars come in and go
in the right direction, and with a national sales team and efforts going in 5 million directions, that's not a piece of cake.
Aleah is quite possibly the most active person in the company. She's the mom of an energetic 9-year-old boy who plays soccer and is now training in
Jiu-Jitsu! And she loves to dance, run (she actually goes running at lunch every day!), play sports, swim, yoga... We've found out that despite her
busy life, she's always down to do anything that is active and fun. Even on Halloween she came in best dressed!
"There's nothing like coming in to work each day knowing that you're a part of a mission that aligns with your own ideals." Aleah says. "It is
exciting, exhilarating and inspiring to be a part of a team of so many amazing, like-minded people who value working for a company with a conscience
and a real purpose!!"
