Event: WX13 (Winter XGames 13)
Back by popular request from the athletes, Sambazon set up shop in the exclusive VIP
lounge at Winter X last month. Striving to impress, Sambazon offered athletes in the lounge custom blended açaí bowls and smoothies with a
choice of over 30 organic toppings and superfood ingredients - and that didn't go unnoticed. Gold medalist athletes to Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister
showed up to refuel at the Sambazon table, and show some açaí love.

Rochelle Ballard
Rochelle is one of the most influential female surfers of our time. Surfing the North Shore since she was 10, Rochelle has earned herself a runner up
to the ASP World Title and has become renown as one of the best female tube and big wave riders out there. Since leaving the ASP, she has founded a
surf camp for girls on Oahu and the IWS (International Women Surfers), and continues to make positive and progressive changes in the world of female
surfing.
Today, Rochelle lives right on Sunset. This winter, Sambazon's Director of Athletes Scott Nemeth was lucky enough to visit Oahu and spend some time

Rebecca Clark says her favorite recipe is "the traditional Açaí Bowl... however, it gets pretty cold in the winter and eating a such a
frigid breakfast makes me want to jump back under the covers! Therefore, in order not to miss out on my daily açaí fix I have come up with a
solution... instead of serving it thick, smooth it out with some of the fantastic winter fruits. So... here is my daily morning breakfast... until it
warms back up again!!"

 Employee of the Month: Hector Garcia
Hector Garcia is our Shipping Coordinator, which means he is responsible for everything that leaves our warehouse, from internet orders to samples
and event supplies.
Prior to Sambazon, Hector worked in IT and through work and play, he has traveled to Germany, Paris, Russia, Czech Republic, Finland, and passed
through Amsterdam and London. Hector loves to travel, build computers, ad specs to his car, play texas hold'em and walk his dog around Dana Point
with
his girlfriend of 7 years.
Hector tells us that his "favorite thing about Sambazon is the people that I work with and knowing that I am working with a company that helps one
of my favorite countries."
