Event: Natural Products Expo West
We look forward to Natural Products Expo West (NPEW) every year when all the companies we love and respect congregate at the Anaheim
convention center for the largest natural products expo in the country. This year we set up booth next to Guayaki and Manitoba Harvest like usual,
and
we
sampled the newest additions in our product portfolio like Amazon Energy, Sambazon Multiserve Juices and Pure Fuzion. Good vibes and tunes emanated
from the Sambazon booth giving people a little teaser to our annual NPEW party - something all the expo goers get excited about every year.
Sambazon's annual expo party, this year Organic Roots VIII, boasted Brazil's famed Curumin and Sambazon favorite Delta Nove. With specialty cocktails
featuring Amazon Energy, Vita Coco, VeeV, and many more organic ingredients, the crowd was naturally fueled to move to the best Brazilian beats.

Sean Burch sets Mt. Fuji World Record
Back in January, World Record Holder, Nutrition Expert, and Sambazon Ambassador Sean Burch made headlines yet again, as "American Celebrates Obama
Inauguration with Mt. Fuji Summit in World Record Time". That is Sean's idea of a fun time - earning the world record for the fastest winter ascent
of
Mt. Fuji. Note: "winter ascent," meaning harsh and dangerous conditions that the Japanese authorities usually don't let people climb in. But
regardless of the that, Sean told everyone that, "I wanted to show my respect and appreciation to Obama by honoring him with this accomplishment.
I
hope he leads the charge for change in the U.S. and throughout the world" - Words we all hope Obama continues to heed.
In the past few years, Sean has also set a world record for the fastest ascent up Mt. Kilimanjaro, won the North Pole marathon in world record time,
reached the summit of Mt. Everest in a solo effort, and climbed a record 63 unclimbed high-altitude Tibetan peaks in a jaw-dropping 23 days.
Since we
met him a two years ago, he's been pounding Sambazon daily during training and he even brought Sambazon's PowerCaps with him on his latest Mt. Fuji
ascent, taking them daily to keep his immune system in top shape. Sean tells us, "I make sure I get my daily afternoon kick of Sambazon to help keep
my body running at it's highest and healthiest levels - whether it be throwing some scoops of powder into a smoothie, downing a juice, or eating a
frozen smoothie pack."

Retail Feature: Samba Rock
Located at 291 Water St. in Santa Cruz, Samba Rock Café serves up some of the best açaí bowls in town, not to mention great
açaí smoothies, yerba mate blends and a full espresso bar. The space is constructed of re-used materials reminiscent of a favela in Brasil,
and slots cut into the walls for inside bike parking invite the town's thriving bicycling community.
Just launched this March, Samba Rock has become one or our favorite cafes, so if you're in the neighborhood, definitely make a pit stop at Samba
Rock!

Times printed an açaí story featuring Sambazon as the source for genuine açaí products amidst a market
faced with açaí free trial scams. Additionally, Florida's Herald Tribune published a similar article positioning Sambazon as the trusted
source of açaí, and the Good Morning America showed Sambazon products on a recent segment about the Amazon.

 Employee of the Month: Darleen Harris
Darleen Harris is our Southeast Sales and Merchandising Representative, which means she coordinates with the produce managers of all our grocery
stores in the SE, makes sure our product is on the shelf in prime placement, and conducts demos and events to spread awareness in the region.
In her personal time, Darleen loves spending time with her 7 yr old granddaughter and is excitedly awaiting a new addition to the family arriving in
June. She also likes bowling, walking her dog and all in all thoroughly enjoying life.
Darleen says that her favorite thing about Sambazon is that she is able to represent a brand that makes "a true healthy product, no gimmicks, nothing
phony, no reason to buy anyone else's."
