Q and A /// Defrosting Sambazon Smoothie Packs

Question:You've got an awesome product. I've been using it at least 5xs per week for about a year now. Great stuff...I do have a
question, I noticed on the package just now the instruction to run the frozen açaí pulp under hot water for 10 seconds. Is that a lot
better than
letting it defrost overnight in the refrigerator to use it for breakfast?
Response: Thanks for contacting us and for all your loyal support! Either way is equally fine. As I'm sure you've realized on your
own, the packages aren't really designed to hold unthawed liquid and so they can leak from time to time. For this reason, whether thawing overnight
or in a bowl of water (what I do), I always recommend thawing them in a bowl.

EVENT /// Hawaii Blitz
Hawaii is one of those amazing places that always feels like home. And this is no
less true for the Sambaheads that we all are. Last month, four of Sambazon's event marketing folks showed up in Hawaii to support local accounts and
scoop açaí bowls at the annual Duke Festival in Waikiki and were greeted with the most knowledgeable, açaí loving customers to
walk the earth (north of Brazil of course). No joke, Oahu is like a little açaí haven somehow removed from Brazil. All the juice bars serve
at least one if not ten variations of the açaí bowl that are spectacular. Every grocery store stocks Sambazon's juices and
sometimes the frozen products as well. And practically everyone on the island has heard of açaí or tried it.
So if you are headed to the islands, make sure to buy yourself an
açaí bowl while you are there!

ATHLETE PROFILE /// Nate Yeomans
Nate is 27, he's from San Clemente, and he rips. Starting out with a humble amateur
career, he's made some enormous strides recently to emerge as one of California's fastest rising surf talents. As a part time surfer on the WQS and
he has the freedom to participate in a host of independent competitions as well. He's also involved in a lot of local causes like his most recent
involvement in the Camp Pendleton Beach Party
where he held free surf lessons for military officers.
And, like the rest of us, he's a Sambahead through and through.

|
Stacey is our new Assistant Product Manager. She recently joined Sambazon from a background as a retail buyer and planner, and has come on to assist
our Marketing Director with forecasting, product development, and the expansion of our Sustainable Amazon Partnership.
When you ask her what her passions are, there's one answer - YOGA! She's a practitioner and a teacher. She also runs quite a bit (just finished her
first half marathon in fact) and loves music, traveling and pretty much anything outdoors.
