Sambazon Warrior of Change Kassia Meador was one of the first surfer girls to step up and become part of the Keep A Breast campaign. “Since my mother’s successful fight against breast cancer,” says Kassia, “I’ve been deeply involved in breast cancer awareness with Keep A Breast." KAB has traveled many places with Kassia, and has casted her breasts many times for Keep A Breast Exhibitions. Her casts alone have raised over $50,000 for KAB and she has become a prominent spokesperson for the cause by representing KAB all over the world and the importance to live a healthy toxic free lifestyle.

KAB just showcased a collection of Kassia’s images taken on her summer trip to France and Spain at the KAB 10 year anniversary in Culver City last month. This October Kassia will be bringing breast cancer awareness with her as she heads out to NYC for Joel Tudor’s duct tape invitational and on a road trip with Roxy.

Q:What does "antioxidants fight free radicals" mean?

A: Lets start from the beginning. Oxygen is what we breathe, but it also is damaging to us. Oxidation, while necessary for life, can also damage cells and turn them into free radicals. (Other things less necessary like cigarette smoke and excessive alcohol consumption can create free radicals too.)

Free radicals are “free” because they are missing a molecule. They are unstable compounds that react with other molecules damaging them in the process and thus creating a chain reaction that proliferates free radicals. Antioxidants help stop that chain reaction.
