THE JOURNEY OF AÇAÍ

LET’S START WITH THE FOREST AND THE FARMER

We work directly with certified organic and fair trade growers to hand-pick wild harvested Açaí straight from the heart of the Amazon. We wild harvest because it minimizes our impact on the delicate ecosystem while maximizing our commitment to organically steward the rainforest. It’s about starting at Step 1 and building from there.

MOVES TO STATE-OF-THE-ART ECO-PROCESSING

Next, our berries are transported by riverboat down the Amazon to the remote forests of Northern Brazil to two of the world’s most advanced and eco-friendly Açaí processing plants. At the docks, we check every berry for quality, color, consistency, and aroma.

Here we pay our farmers a premium for their fruit. This guarantees they have an income they can count on and that we receive the highest quality Açaí available.

KEEPING IT CLEAN (or: PUSHING PROGRESS)

Our factories run off of 100% alternative energy. In fact, they even run off of furnaces that burn Açaí seeds (which are our largest waste product when producing Açaí) instead of virgin Amazon wood. Even cooler? These factories are solar powered, LEED certified, organic and fair trade. They even use Amazon River water to rinse the fruit, returning the water cleaner than it was before.

At this point, our Açaí has been hand-harvested by a farmer, transported by riverboat, inspected by hand, and processed as minimally as possible. Now it’s time for it to become the Açaí you know and love. We share our Açaí with cafes, grocery stores, pop-ups and everyone in between, offering you the chance you experience authentic Açaí and fall for it just like we did. Who would’ve thought such a humble little berry could deliciously change the world?
